You can get it filled by two paacmhries.. however, you are essentially going against the doctors medical plan' for your pain by obtaining two prescriptions. Unless, of course, each doctor knows the other doctor is giving you the prescription. My best medical advice would be to go to the doctor that is most empathetic to your pain and discuss that 200mg's per day isn't controlling the pain, and you need some help in pain relief as it is affecting your quality of life. You could also bring in the recommended daily maximum (print out) from the web, from a reputable site, that states 400mg's is safe. (some doctors will take this well, others don't.)Bottom line you need to get this pain treated by one physician, whether that is moving to another pain killer, or increasing the dosage. If one physician is prescribing it for another condition than the other there should be no conflict although you are required when asked' in paper work or otherwise to state all medications and amounts. It really takes some self inflicted guilt' off your shoulders to get things managed by a single physician rather than utilizing two to practice medicine yourself.Be careful with the ultram/tramadol it is very addictive and has intense withdrawals if taken for long periods of time then abruptly stopped.Hope you get it sorted,
